time, direct and executive search was something only headhunters did, usually working out of <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/elementapp.ai\/blog\/agencje-pracy-wybor-agencji-i-zasad-wspolpracy-poradnik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment agencies<\/a>. The premise is simple: instead of posting a job ad and waiting, you go out and contact specific people. Executive search narrows that down to managerial roles and specialists who are genuinely hard to find.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f1783be2 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f1783be2\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">How are candidates actually found?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-05906e15 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"05906e15\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The usual channels:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b48819a8 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b48819a8\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>outreach via social networks, e.g., <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">LinkedIn<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.xing.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" style=\"color: #0000ff\">Xing<\/a>, <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Facebook<\/a><\/li><li>cold-calling companies directly<\/li><li>meeting people at conferences<\/li><li>personal networks and referrals<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c18c89c9 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"c18c89c9\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Why employers started doing it themselves<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-29cf2564 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"29cf2564\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>There was a time when directly poaching someone from another company felt ethically murky, so employers outsourced that work to <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/elementapp.ai\/blog\/agencje-pracy-wybor-agencji-i-zasad-wspolpracy-poradnik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">agencies<\/a>. Someone else did the uncomfortable part.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-4c0e3e3b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"4c0e3e3b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>But once LinkedIn became mainstream, the whole mystique around executive search dissolved. Add <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Sourcing_(personnel)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">sourcing<\/a> tools, modern <a href=\"https:\/\/elementapp.ai\/wszystko-o-ats\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" style=\"color: #0000ff\">ATS systems<\/a> like <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/elementapp.ai\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Element<\/a>, and the internet in general, and the &#8220;secret knowledge&#8221; stopped being secret. Today, in-house HR teams do this routinely, not just <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/elementapp.ai\/blog\/agencje-pracy-wybor-agencji-i-zasad-wspolpracy-poradnik\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recruitment agencies<\/a>.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-22f87c3e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"22f87c3e\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>IT was where this shift happened first, and honestly, it would have been strange if it hadn&#8217;t:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-c1d1ae38 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"c1d1ae38\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>Demand for developers exploded, and traditional job postings stopped cutting it;<\/li><li>Developers live online &#8211; they&#8217;re on LinkedIn, <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">GitHub<\/a>, <a style=\"color: #0000ff\" href=\"https:\/\/stackoverflow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Stack Overflow<\/a> &#8211; which makes them relatively easy to find and message;<\/li><li>IT recruiters were already comfortable with digital tools, so picking up sourcing felt natural.<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-45cdb436 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"45cdb436\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>In my view, it comes down to two things. LinkedIn made it trivially easy to reach employees at other companies, and the growing shortage of candidates made it necessary.
